The following message contains information about Prom and Graduation.
Graduation:
Based on the guidelines set forth by Governor Ricketts yesterday, we believe we WILL be able to host graduation on July 19 in the competition gym. The guidelines for Phase 3 of the state’s reopening plan take effect on June 22. Those guidelines allow for 50% of rated occupancy for indoor events. We believe we will fall within that range while hosting an indoor graduation ceremony.
More information about graduation rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner for graduating seniors will be posted within the next week.
Prom:
Based on the guidelines set forth by Governor Ricketts, we believe we WILL NOT be able to host prom on July 17. The guidelines for Phase 3 of the state’s reopening plan take effect on June 22. Those guidelines still prohibit dances. Though Governor Ricketts could move the state to Phase 4 before the scheduled date for prom, we cannot appropriately plan and organize anymore under the “hope” that we will move to Phase 4 before July 17.
