Arlington Preschool Parent Meeting

The Arlington Preschool program is designed to enhance language development and pre-academic skills.  The program is comprised of students that have a verified disability and also students who attend as peer models.  The primary goals of the program include: developing language, social, pre-academic, fine motor, gross motor and self-help skills in all students and to also develop skills that will help students make a successful transition into Kindergarten.

There will be an informational meeting for parents about the Arlington Preschool program at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, March 11 in the elementary library. Please enter through the main elementary doors and follow the signs. During this time, an overview of the program will be given and parents will have the opportunity to ask questions.

After the meeting, applications will be made available to anyone interested in having their child become a peer model in the preschool program.

Applications for peer models will be due on Thursday, March 27 at 3:00 in the elementary office.  A lottery for peer models for the 2014-15 school year will be held on Friday, March 28.  Parents will be informed of the results of the lottery during the week of March 31.

If you are unable to make the informational parent meeting, applications for peer models may be picked up in the elementary office after March 11, 2014.

If you have any questions about the preschool program feel free to contact David Fritson, Gail Barth, or the elementary office.
