Arlington Preschool Parent Meeting
Arlington Preschool Parent Meeting
The Arlington Preschool program is a program designed to enhance language development and pre-academic skills. The program is comprised of students that have a verified disability and also students who attend as peer models. The primary goals of the program include: developing language, social, pre-academic, fine motor, gross motor and self-help skills in all students and to also develop skills that will help students make a successful transition into Kindergarten.
There will be an informational meeting for parents of prospective students about the Arlington Preschool program at 5:30 on Thursday, February 16, 2023 in the preschool center room. Please enter through the doors by the small playground. During this time, an overview of the program will be given and parents may also have the opportunity to ask questions about the program.
After the meeting, applications will be made available to any one interested in having their son or daughter become a peer model in the preschool program. All available slots will be filled first with 4 year olds (as of July 31, 2023). If there are any available spots left they will be filled with 3 year olds.
Applications for peer models will be due on Thursday, March 2 at 3:00 in the elementary office. A lottery for peer models for the 2023-24 school year will be held on Friday, March 3. Parents will be informed of the results of the lottery during the week of March 13th.
If you are unable to make the informational parent meeting, applications for peer models may be picked up in the elementary office after February 16, 2023
