Arlington Public School Family and Friends:

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of our educational family and friends as we continue to recover from the flooding. I have been overwhelmed with the way our community has stepped up to help those who have been impacted. We still have a lot of donations and resources available, here at school, so please do not hesitate to contact us or come up to the school to get the things you may need.

With the flooding, I also want to be intentional about reminding all of you about the counseling and mental health resources that are available to your students and to their parents/guardians. Here at school, Floyd Everitt and Kerri Harris are always available for your students, so please encourage your student to talk to either one of them during the day. We also have a partnership with Arbor Family Counseling in Omaha, so your students and/or their parents/guardians can receive free counseling at their offices, as well. They are located at 11605 Arbor St # 106, Omaha, NE 68144  and their phone number is (402) 330-0960.

The Nebraska Extension Office sent a reminder out earlier this week about about the impact that disasters, such as flooding, can have on children and adolescents, so we want to be mindful of the resources we have available. Below are some resources that the Nebraska Extension Office passed along for further assistance.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to Arlington Public Schools egarding what you may need during this time. Our goal is to serve you and your student in the best way possible. Thank you.
