Students in grades PreK-6 were visited by some very important volunteers recently. Members of the Arlington Volunteer Fire Department visited the school to kick off Fire Prevention Week. The students learned critical procedures for exiting a building during a fire. They were also able to witness a firefighter adorned in full firefighting gear. Students in grades PreK-4 were treated to a guided tour of the fire trucks while students in 5th and 6th grade practiced their fire extinguishing skills with a fire extinguisher simulator. We would like to thank Micheal Dwyer, Tami Erixon, Paul Kaup, Tad Lambert, Dan Douglas, and Briana Cudly for giving their time to teach our kids about fire safety!
