    Marine Corps League Scholarship

    Fremont Area Marine Corps League Detachment 1275 will be awarding 2, $1000 scholarships to eligible recipients. Seniors who plan to attend a four-year or two-year college or vocational school are eligible.  Criteria for selection include academic achievement as documented by GPA, ACT/SAT scores, and evidence of advanced coursework; high school and community activity participation; community service activities; character and exemplary personal qualities as documented by a letter of recommendation, and completion of a brief essay on public service.     MOC/ONS Nursing Scholarship

    Students interested in a nursing career who is planning to be enrolled at an accredited nursing program.  Special consideration will be given to students with an interest in Oncology. 3.0 GPA, school and community activities.  Application is on the family connection or in the Guidance Office.




    GPC – College Scholarship

    This scholarship is offered to graduating high school seniors that are Greeat Plains Communications customers who plan to attend Nebraska state or private college or a one or two year technical or trade school in Nebraska. Application is available on the family connection scholarship list.




    GPC – FRS Scholarship

    Offers scholarship opportunities to rural high school seniors who express an interest in returning to a rural area to pursue their careers after graduating from College.  Application can be downloaded from family connection.





    The Nebraska Women's Amateur Golf Association will administer four (4) $1000 scholarships in 2018. Those eligible are Female Nebraska High School Seniors who have played high school golf and are furthering their education at a 2-year, 4-year, or technical school in Nebraska. One scholarship will be awarded to an applicant from Western Nebraska, one from Central Nebraska, and two from Eastern Nebraska. Applicants will be judged primarily on a 500 word essay, explaining how the lessons they have learned through golf have impacted their character and future aspiriations. Additional qualifications for the scholarship include strong academic programs, community service and recommendations.

    1.Your Parents’ 2015 Tax Records—You MUST have your parents’ 2016 tax records to be able to complete your FAFSA. 
    2.Completed FAFSA—The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. You will need to complete and submit your FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. You, and at least one parent, will need a FSA ID and you can get that now at https://fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm  
    3.School Transcript—When you submit your application online, you will need an Official Copy of your most up-to-date high school transcript. Talk with a counselor or teacher now to find out how you can get this when the time comes. 
    4.Two Letters of Recommendation.
    5.Personal Essay—You will need at least a one-page explanation of why you want to attend college, including why you need a scholarship.     NeSPE Engineering

    Scholarships for high school seniors who are required to enroll in engineering at a Nebraska School. Students must have a 3.5 GPA for 10th and 11th grades, SAT scores with a Verbal 500, and Math 600; or ACT English 25, Math 29. There is an essay and interview for this award.     UNL ACACIA Leadership

    The Laurence R. Letson Acacia Leadership Scholarships is a single-year scholarship awarded to 3 (1-$1,000 and 2-$500) incoming male freshmen at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln who display excellence in academics, motivation for personal success, and an interest in developing and applying leadership skills.     Jim Hurlbert American Legion Baseball

    One candidate per American Legion Baseball Team.  Must be in the top 50% of the graduating class, financial need and community involvement.  Download applications from Family Connection.




    Maynard Jensen American Legion Memorial Scholarship

    Students planning to enroll in a Nebraska school must be sons or daughters, grandchildren or great-grandchildren, adopted or stepchildren of members of Department of Nebraska, The American Legion or POW, KIA, or any veteran that was a current American Legion member at time of death. The applicants must enroll in a Nebraska institution of higher education. Selection will be based on financial need, academic achievement and extracurricular activities.     NRCSA Education Major

    Students planning to become teachers or other related occupations such as counselors or media specialists may apply for these scholarships. Only one female and one male application per school will be accepted. Download application from famly connection.




    NRCSA Gary Fisher Fine Arts

    Students planning to major in fine arts, selection based on achievement in fine arts, level of involvement in activities, student goals, leadership and character. Download application from family connection




    SCC Foundation Scholarships

    Minimum 3.0 GPA and accepted to Southeast Community College.




    Nebraska Press Association Foundation Scholarship

    Enroll in a Nebraska college in a program leading to careers in print journalism.
